Staff Success to Student Success: The OARS Program
This seminar has been provided to over 400 public and private schools in elementary, middle school and high school levels. We present a system developed by Stevenson, that builds a sustainable school culture, effective classroom management, and a pathway to turn around drop-out, burn-out and fall-out behaviors and dynamics. OARS teaches staff to Observe, Assess, Respond and Stabilize student dynamics that unchecked, obstruct classrooms best learning environments. Stevenson’s book, Legacies Under Construction is integrated into character education models.
Building Signature Colleges: The Success Factors in Higher Education
This seminar, offered around the country, draws university/college staff and educators together in the mission to educate and accommodate the whole student. We dare to challenge the old norms, by taking on a “Their F’s are our F’s” approach to serving college students. The college professor has long been noted as a ‘content specialist’ that may need further growth as an ‘educator’, and will find it here. Staff members who support the educators have long been under-valued in the vital part they play in student success and Well-Being.
Stress and Transition Management: Thirty years ago, working in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cyndy was charged with developing a Stress Management Program, with life or death outcomes. This evolved into more of a “Prevention” workshop as she was invited into every industry thinkable, by her cardiac patients who wanted their colleagues to be able to avoid such a health crisis. This workshop is full of pathways to both organizational and personal well-being… since the two cannot be separated. Humor, intense reflection, increasing common sense, and learning new motivations to achieve well-being, can be found in the learning modes.
Merger or Acquisition: How to move through the Chaos of Change. This workshop or strategic planning session, will go through specific and localized staffing, job titles, reporting relationships, leadership changes, territorial handoffs, and Values and Mission Changes impacted by a merger or acquisition.
Responsible Leadership: This offers several skill set and character quality lessons, that help managers effectively utilize employees, create consistent and equitable Information Flow, carry out growth oriented performance management, and establish a culture of the highest professional standards while retaining a humanistic value at center of operations.
